Sigiriya
Sigiriya is a rock fortress. It was built by King Kasyhapa. He killed his father king Dhathusena , so Kasyhapa built a rock fortress to be a protected from his angry brother Moggalana.
The Sigiriya frescoes are world famous. The digitized damsala are drawn very beautifully on the walls. The mirror walls has poems and songs called "sigiri graffiti". To go to the top of the rock. We have to go through the 'Lion's paw' staircase.
Not even local visitors but also foreign tourists visit Sigiriya. We can be really proud of our ancient sites like Sigiriya.
